Job Description

Studio 4 Enterprises is seeking a passionate and skilled Studio Facilitator to join our creative education team. In this unique role, you will be employed by Studio 4 Enterprises but contracted to provide services onsite at High School for Recording Arts (HSRA)-an innovative charter school in Saint Paul dedicated to empowering at-promise students through creative expression.

About the Role
As a Studio Facilitator, you'll be instrumental in connecting students to the world of music, media, and audio production. You'll guide learners through hands-on creative work-from beat making and sound design to mixing and live sound-while also shaping the structure and content of their educational experience.
You'll design and deliver culturally relevant audio production curriculum, organize career-focused learning experiences, and help students build real-world skills that translate into both creative confidence and career readiness. A key aspect of your role will be building and maintaining industry relationships that open doors to certifications, job shadowing, internships, and CTE (Career and Technical Education) pathways.

Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate studio and lab sessions in audio recording, engineering, beat production, and instrumentation
- Design and teach innovative, engaging curriculum in creative audio production aligned with HSRA's project-based model
- Mentor students through original studio projects, helping them build portfolios and showcase their work
- Provide live sound and technical support for school events and performances
- Maintain and manage studio equipment, ensuring a professional and accessible space
- Build strong relationships with students to support personal, academic, and creative growth
- Collaborate with HSRA staff to align curriculum with student goals and graduation requirements
- Develop and sustain partnerships with local and national music, arts, and media professionals and organizations
- Plan and lead field trips, job shadowing experiences, and internships that give students direct exposure to creative industries
- Support students in earning industry-recognized certifications and credentials
- Establish and expand CTE-aligned pathways in music production and audio engineering
- Communicate regularly with families and stakeholders to ensure strong engagement

Qualifications

What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in youth development, education, or creative industries
- Expertise in DAWs and music tech: Pro Tools, Logic, FL Studio, Ableton
- Strong skills in curriculum design, classroom facilitation, and student engagement
- Deep commitment to working with at-promise students in an inclusive and affirming learning environment
- Professional demeanor, high personal standards, and collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project-based, alternative, or charter school settings
- Background in Career and Technical Education (CTE) and student credentialing
- Established connections to music/media industries or creative sector partners
- Familiarity with competency-based and social-emotional learning models

Working Conditions
• Full-time, year-round, on-site position at HSRA in a vibrant studio-school setting.
• Some lifting (up to 75 lbs) and flexible hours for student events required
• Daily in-person interaction with students, staff, and community partners.
• Paid holidays and some school breaks off.
