Job Description

SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - DCD POSITION
- Teach English and Science to nonverbal/limited verbal autistic learners.
- Collaborate closely with Speech, OT and Case Managers.
- No case management responsibilities, only due process for ELA goals/objectives.
- Teach 20 students total, 3 separate groups with 6-8 class size.

OUR SCHOOL
- Grades 7 - 12.
- Small case loads.
- Case Manager positions (no teaching).
- Special Education Teachers (no case managing) .
- Due process days.

WE OFFER
- Salary Range: $37,500 - $70,000 depending on education and experience.
- Similar positions: Special Education Teacher, Special Education Case Manager, Resource Room Teacher, ASD.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Possession of a valid Minnesota Teaching License in Special Education.
- If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2 Teaching License.
- Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete required job tasks.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Masters degree in Special Education.
- Possession of a valid license in Autism Spectrum Disorder, in process of gaining ASD Licensure, or hold certificate with willingness to pursue licensure.
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum.
