Job Description

Voyageurs Expeditionary School (VES) has an opening for a full-time Dean of Students for the 2023-24 school year. The Dean of Students will assist the Director in the daily functions that are necessary to provide a positive environment for students, staff, and families. Responsibilities may include educating staff on trauma-informed strategies; responding to student behavioral crises; monitoring student progress toward academic and behavioral goals; performing assessments; and developing restorative plans. The Dean of Students supports the implementation of restorative practices in programs by determining the stage of implementation, addressing staff training needs, and collecting and analyzing data.

Qualifications

Valid Minnesota teaching license OR degree/experience related to restorative practices
Minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience OR experience working with youth and background in restorative practices.
A valid Minnesota administrative license is preferred but is not required.
