Job Description

Responsibilities include:
Content development and delivery for math courses which may include: Algebra Fundamentals, Intermediate Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Computer Coding, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus.
Create a safe and inclusive environment for all students to engage in classroom and school activities
Provide effective assessment and feedback to promote strong math skills, understandings, and application
Provide timely feedback to students and families
Make decisions for math instruction informed by a variety of assessment tools and data
Differentiate learning experiences for all students and work with special education staff to provide student accommodations
Communicate with students, families, and colleagues effectively
Oversee an advisory period
Additional opportunities: club advisement, student travel, school leadership and development committees

Qualifications

Education Requirements
BA in Math Education or equivalent
Valid MN teaching license in Mathematics

Institution Description

Harbor City International School is a small, public charter school serving grades 9-12 in Duluth, MN. The purpose of this position is to engage students in math learning to meet and exceed state standards in an inclusive, small setting focused on academic challenge and community engagement.
