Leadership Award
The MINNESOTA CHARTER SCHOOL LEADERSHIP AWARD is designed to recognize individuals who have demonstrated ongoing organizational and academic leadership, professionalism, innovation, and community engagement. Individuals who have gone above and beyond to “Unleash Education from Convention."
- Nominees must be at a MACS-member school
- Nominees need to have been in their current position for a minimum of three (3) years
Nominees should demonstrate leadership through the following:
- Empowering staff and creating a positive work environment
- Facilitating effective board governance
- Creating a culture for student achievement and success
- Creating and supporting professional learning communities at the board and staff levels
- Supporting and implementing new and different programming, teaching methods, assessments or organizational procedures and practices
- Cultivating partnerships to enhance opportunities for students or the school, and participation in the charter school community
Nominations may be submitted by:
- The school board of the nominee's school
- The faculty/staff of the nominee's school
- The authorizer of the nominee's school
- An administrator of the nominee's school
- An administrator of another MACS member school
