Job Description
Summary of Duties:
• Counsel students with personal and psychological issues that
affect their performance, behavior, and socialization in school
• Participate actively in trainings, staff meetings, and the life of
the school
• Form and maintain positive relationships with diverse students,
families, and staff
• Communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators to
understand students' challenges
Maintain case files and reports to track students' progress and
problems
• Working with parents to facilitate their support in their
children's school adjustment.
• Alleviating family stress to enable the child to function more
effectively in school & community.
• Assisting parents to access programs available to students
with special needs.
• Assisting parents in accessing and utilizing school and
community resources.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• A baccalaureate degree or a master's degree in social work
from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited
program.
• Licensure from the Minnesota Board on Social Work and
Minnesota Department of Education
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with Multilingual Learners and Families
• Technology skills in Google Workspace (Gmail, Classroom,
Drive, Slides, Docs ,etc)
