Kinder Prep (Preschool) Assistant

Job Description

Kinder Prep Preschool Teaching Assistant:
Hours: 7:30am-2:30pm
Full time (Monday - Friday)

Job Summary:
Work with Kinder Prep Teachers to assist with implementation of lesson plans for three and four-year-old children to guide students through their emotional, academic, and physical growth. Full time is eligible for insurance and leave benefits.

Essential Functions:
Provide care for up to 20 students, ages 3-5
Plan and implement simple songs and activities with children
Supervise free play
Help maintain a joyful, safe, neat and sanitary environment

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Eligible to work in the United States
Oral and written proficiency in the English language

Preferred Qualifications:
Spanish or Mandarin language proficiency
Experience with preschool aged children

Physical Requirements:
This position requires vocal communication, hearing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, use of hands to grasp and feel, and vision abilities including close, distance, and adjusting focus. Lifting/moving required up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds or more. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
