Job Description
Lionsgate Academy is a Public Charter School that specializes in educating students with living with Autism or other learning differences.
SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER - DCD POSITION:
Teach math and social skills to nonverbal/limited verbal autistic learners
Collaborate closely with Speech, OT and Case Managers
No case management responsibilities, only due process for math goals/objectives
Teach 20 students total, 3 separate groups with 6-8 class size
OUR SCHOOL:
Small case loads: Case Manager positions (no teaching)
Special Education Teachers (no case managing)
Due process days
Mentor support

Collaborate daily with team members

WE OFFER:
Salary Range: $37,500 - $70,000 depending on education and experience
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Possession of a valid Minnesota Teaching License in Special Education
If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2 Teaching License
Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete required job tasks
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Masters degree in Special Education
Possession of a valid license in Autism Spectrum Disorder, in process of gaining ASD Licensure, or hold certificate with willingness to pursue licensure
Experience working with students on the autism spectrum
