A small K-8 community integrating social skills development with academic achievement. New City honors the complexity of human development--student interest, creativity, culture, and varied abilities--and strives to grow young people capable of bringing problem-solving, communications, and imagination to citizenship in a challenging world. Small classes foster quality relationships that result in effective differentiation, engagement, relevance, and growth. New City looks for opportunities to get "hands-on" in the field, weaves arts into learning across the day, utilizes the best available curricular guidance, and welcomes all.
