Sadie has been a charter school educator for over 20 years. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a BA in English and French Education, she joined the staff of Community of Peace Academy as a high school English teacher. Like many charter school educators, she has worn numerous hats over her time at CPA, and has had the opportunity to direct several plays, support school communications and social media, and become involved with CPA's character education initiatives. Sadie is a State and National Evaluator for the Schools of Character Program through Character.org and enjoys presenting at conferences about how to effectively teach character at the middle and high school levels.

Sadie lives in St. Paul with her husband and their three children and three cats. She is passionate about ensuring all people feel safe and welcome in all spaces in Minnesota, especially trans youth. She enjoys reading, playing games, being physically active, and seeing live music and comedy shows.
